Global AI Inference on Bedrock with Claude Sonnet 4.5

This innovation extends existing geography-specific inference profiles by automatically routing AI inference requests to optimal commercial AWS Regions globally, leveraging the AWS global infrastructure.

Key features include intelligent request routing that considers model availability, capacity, and latency, seamlessly handling traffic bursts and achieving higher throughput without complex load balancing. Global CRIS supports essential Bedrock functionalities like prompt caching, batch inference, Guardrails, and Knowledge Bases. It is specifically integrated with Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4.5, recognized as their most intelligent model for complex agents, coding, and long-horizon tasks, offering enhanced tool handling, memory management, and code generation.

Benefits for organizations are significant: enhanced throughput during peak demand, approximately 10% cost savings on both input and output tokens compared to geographic CRIS, streamlined monitoring via centralized CloudWatch and CloudTrail logs in the source Region, and on-demand quota flexibility across a larger global resource pool. Service quota management is centralized in the US East (N. Virginia) Region. While providing global flexibility, users with strict data residency requirements should evaluate their use cases, as requests may be processed in any supported commercial Region.
